Overview

GCP-VAC2 is a personalized cancer nanovaccine designed to target both patient-specific neoantigens and shared cancer-testis antigens (CTAs). Developed by The Affiliated Drum Tower Hospital of Nanjing University, the vaccine utilizes a nanoparticle-based delivery platform to present these antigens to the immune system. By combining neoantigens, which are unique to the individual's tumor mutations, with CTAs, which are shared across various tumor types but absent in normal tissues, the vaccine aims to elicit a potent and broad T-cell mediated anti-tumor response. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for patients with advanced solid tumors, including gastric, colorectal, and lung cancers, who have progressed after standard therapies.
