GCT-102 is an investigational cell therapy being developed by Kidswell Bio (formerly Gene Techno Science) and its subsidiary S-Quatre Corporation. The therapy utilizes SQ-SHED, which are stem cells derived from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED). GCT-102 is specifically designed for the treatment of Congenital Entero-Neuropathy, a group of disorders characterized by the absence or dysfunction of nerve cells within the gastrointestinal tract, such as Hirschsprung's disease. The therapeutic approach aims to regenerate or repair the enteric nervous system by leveraging the high proliferative capacity and neurogenic potential of SHED. The development of GCT-102 is being conducted in collaboration with Kyushu University and is currently in early-stage clinical trials.
