Overview

GD-iExo-001 is an investigational exosome-based biologic therapy derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Developed by Beijing G-D Biotechnology in collaboration with Peking Union Medical College Hospital, it is designed to treat atopic dermatitis by leveraging the regenerative and immunomodulatory properties of iPSC-derived extracellular vesicles. These exosomes contain a complex cargo of proteins, microRNAs, and lipids that are hypothesized to suppress inflammatory cytokines and promote the restoration of the skin barrier. The therapy is administered via subcutaneous injection and is currently undergoing exploratory clinical evaluation to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis.
