Overview

GD2 CAR-T (Fuda Cancer Hospital) is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy targeting the disialoganglioside GD2. Developed by Fuda Cancer Hospital in Guangzhou, China, the therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes GD2, an antigen highly expressed on the surface of glioma cells and other neuroectodermal tumors. This treatment is designed for patients with GD2-positive recurrent or metastatic glioma who have exhausted standard treatment options. Once infused, the CAR-T cells bind to the GD2 antigen, triggering T-cell activation, proliferation, and the subsequent destruction of the tumor cells. Clinical trials are evaluating its safety and efficacy in patients with advanced glioma.
