Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ge Lan Xiang oral solution is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product developed and manufactured by Harbin Medical University Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. It is a Chinese patent medicine formulated to treat the common cold, influenza, and upper respiratory tract infections, particularly when presenting with the TCM pattern of "wind-heat with internal food stagnation." The solution is composed of several botanical extracts, most notably Puerariae Lobatae Radix (Ge Gen), Isatidis Radix (Ban Lan Gen), and Pogostemonis Herba (Guang Huo Xiang), which collectively exert antipyretic, antiviral, and digestive-regulating effects. It is widely used in China, particularly in pediatric populations, and has been the subject of Phase IV clinical trials to further validate its safety and efficacy in real-world clinical settings.
