Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Gegenqinliantang granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation derived from the classic "Gegen Qinlian Tang" decoction. It typically consists of four herbal ingredients: *Puerariae Lobatae Radix* (Gegen), *Scutellariae Radix* (Huangqin), *Coptidis Rhizoma* (Huanglian), and *Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma* (Gancao). The formulation is primarily used for treating gastrointestinal disorders, including acute diarrhea and dysentery. In clinical research, it is being evaluated for its potential to relieve antibiotic resistance and sensitize resistant bacteria in pediatric patients with drug-resistant bacterial diarrhea. Its mechanism involves anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and gut microbiota-modulating effects.
