Overview

GEH200521 is an investigational fluorine-18 labeled PET radiopharmaceutical designed for imaging CD8, a marker expressed on CD8+ T cells—a subpopulation of white blood cells involved in immune responses against cancer. The agent consists of aluminium [18F] fluoride ([18F]AlF) chelated to the non-radiolabelled RESCA-VHH protein component (GEH200520). GEH200521 is being developed to enable non-invasive visualization and quantification of CD8+ T cell infiltration in tumors, with the aim of predicting and monitoring early response to cancer immunotherapies such as immune checkpoint inhibitors. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, dosimetry, and its ability to monitor changes in tumor-infiltrating CD8+ T cells using PET imaging in patients with solid tumor malignancies[1][2][5][6][8].
