GEH300079 (68Ga) is a radiopharmaceutical imaging agent developed by GE Healthcare for the detection of peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC) using Positron Emission Tomography (PET)/Computed Tomography (CT). It consists of a targeting ligand labeled with the positron-emitting radioisotope Gallium-68 (68Ga). The agent is designed to improve the visualization of peritoneal metastases in patients with colorectal, gastric, ovarian, or pancreatic cancers, where standard-of-care imaging often lacks sensitivity. GEH300079 targets fibroblast activation protein (FAP), which is highly expressed in the cancer-associated fibroblasts of the tumor stroma. It is currently being evaluated in the Phase 2/3 PERISCOPE clinical trial to assess its diagnostic performance and compare it against institutional standard-of-care imaging methods.
