Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Geketong Luo Capsules (葛酮通络胶囊) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product developed by Anhui Joyfar Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Hunan Jingfeng Pharmaceutical. The medication is formulated from the total flavonoids extracted from the root of *Pueraria lobata* (Kudzu), with puerarin serving as a primary active constituent. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of ischemic stroke (cerebral infarction) during the recovery phase, particularly for patients presenting with 'blood stasis' syndrome, which manifests as hemiplegia, numbness, facial paralysis, and language difficulties. Although the specific molecular protein targets have not been officially disclosed by the developer, the drug's therapeutic effects are attributed to its ability to promote vasodilation, improve cerebral microcirculation, and inhibit platelet aggregation. It is administered orally and has received marketing approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in China.
