Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GeloSitin is a nasal spray developed by Pohl-Boskamp for the treatment of dry or damaged nasal mucosa, a condition often referred to as rhinitis sicca. The product is formulated with high-quality refined sesame oil, which acts as an emollient to create a protective lipid barrier over the nasal epithelium. This barrier helps to retain moisture, soften and loosen crusts or scabs, and protect the tissue from environmental irritants such as dry air or pollutants. It is commonly indicated for patients suffering from nasal dryness due to climate-controlled environments, aging, or as a supportive treatment following nasal surgery. Although it contains essential oils like orange and lemon oil for fragrance, its primary therapeutic effect is derived from the physical properties of the sesame oil base.
