Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RenovoGem is a drug-device combination therapy developed by RenovoRx, consisting of the chemotherapy agent gemcitabine delivered via the proprietary RenovoCath micro-catheter using Trans-Arterial Micro-Perfusion (TAMP) technology. This approach is designed to provide targeted, high-concentration delivery of gemcitabine directly to the tumor site through the arterial wall, specifically for the treatment of locally advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma (LAPC). By utilizing intra-arterial delivery, the system aims to maximize local therapeutic effect while minimizing the systemic toxicities typically associated with intravenous administration. The therapy is currently being evaluated in the Phase 3 TIGeR-PaC clinical trial, comparing it to standard-of-care intravenous gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel.
