Overview

GEN-009 is an investigational, personalized therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by Genocea Biosciences for selected advanced solid tumors. Each patient-specific product comprised 4 to 20 synthetic long peptides encoding tumor neoantigens selected with Genocea's ATLAS platform, which functionally screened autologous T cells to identify stimulatory neoantigens and exclude inhibitory peptides. GEN-009 was administered subcutaneously with the poly-ICLC adjuvant to induce neoantigen-specific CD4-positive and CD8-positive T-cell responses, including cytotoxic T-cell activity against tumor cells expressing the selected mutations. It was evaluated in the completed Phase 1/2a GEN-009-101 study, but further development is not being pursued following Genocea's operational wind-down and liquidation.
