GEn-1123 is an orally administered small molecule dual signal modulator developed by Gen1E Lifesciences. It is designed to target the p38α (mitogen-activated protein kinase 14) and MK2 (MAP kinase-activated protein kinase 2) signaling pathway, which is a critical regulator of pro-inflammatory cytokine production. By employing a dual modulation approach, GEn-1123 aims to achieve potent anti-inflammatory effects while potentially mitigating the toxicity and off-target issues historically associated with traditional p38 kinase inhibitors. The drug is currently being developed for the treatment of rare chronic inflammatory diseases.
