Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GenAhead Bio is developing an antiviral oligonucleotide therapeutic for the treatment of Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (SFTS), a tick-borne viral disease. Developed in collaboration with the Japan Institute for Health Security and the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, the therapeutic consists of silencing nucleic acid sequences rationally designed to target the SFTS virus genome. The drug is intended to inhibit viral replication through RNA silencing mechanisms. The program is currently in the preclinical research stage, leveraging GenAhead Bio's expertise in nucleic acid delivery and genome editing technologies.
