GeneCure SARS vaccine is an experimental viral vector vaccine candidate developed by GeneCure Biotechnologies for the prevention of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). It utilizes the company's proprietary SimVec platform, which is based on a non-integrating lentiviral vector system. This technology is designed to efficiently deliver genetic material encoding SARS coronavirus antigens to host cells, thereby eliciting both humoral (antibody) and cellular (T-cell) immune responses. By using a non-integrating vector, the platform aims to provide the high transduction efficiency characteristic of lentiviruses while minimizing the risk of insertional mutagenesis, which is a concern with traditional integrating lentiviral systems.
