Genesis Therapeutics is developing a small-molecule allosteric inhibitor targeting PIK3CA (phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase alpha) for the treatment of breast cancer and colorectal cancer. The program utilizes the company's GEMS AI platform to identify and optimize highly potent and selective pan-mutant inhibitors. Unlike traditional catalytic inhibitors, these allosteric molecules are designed to offer enhanced selectivity across different PIK3CA mutations, which are common oncogenic drivers in solid tumors.
