Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Genesis Therapeutics is developing a small-molecule allosteric inhibitor targeting PIK3CA (phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase alpha) for the treatment of breast cancer and colorectal cancer. The program utilizes the company's GEMS AI platform to identify and optimize highly potent and selective pan-mutant inhibitors. Unlike traditional catalytic inhibitors, these allosteric molecules are designed to offer enhanced selectivity across different PIK3CA mutations, which are common oncogenic drivers in solid tumors. The program is currently in the preclinical development phase, approaching development candidate nomination.
