Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Gengigel Baby is a topical oral gel developed by Ricerfarma specifically for pediatric use in infants and children aged 0-6 years. The formulation contains 0.54% hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate) as its active ingredient and is designed as a mucoadhesive gel that forms a protective film over oral tissues. It is indicated for the treatment of gum inflammation and oral mucosal lesions in early childhood, particularly those resulting from teething or oral trauma. The product is free from preservatives, alcohol, colorants, and sugar, using xylitol as a sweetener and featuring a milk and vanilla flavor. It works by providing a physical barrier that hydrates the tissue, reduces pain and swelling, and supports natural mucosal healing. As a biologic formulation based on a naturally occurring component of healthy gingival tissue, it is safe if swallowed and can be used without restriction in infants.
