Overview
GenSci070 is a water-soluble injectable formulation of progesterone developed by Changchun Jinsai Pharmaceutical (GenSci). It is designed as a bioequivalent version of Lubion, intended for the treatment of luteal phase insufficiency in women undergoing assisted reproductive technology (ART). Progesterone is a vital steroid hormone that prepares the uterine lining for embryo implantation and maintains early pregnancy by acting as an agonist on the progesterone receptor. This aqueous formulation aims to provide a more tolerable administration route compared to traditional oil-based progesterone injections, which are often associated with injection site reactions and discomfort.
