Overview

GenSci120 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that acts as a programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) agonist. Developed by Changchun GeneScience Pharmaceutical, it is designed to selectively suppress immune responses by activating the PD-1 inhibitory pathway on T cells. This mechanism restores immune tolerance and homeostasis, making it a promising therapeutic candidate for autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, primary Sjögren’s syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its potent T cell inhibition activity and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), as well as enhanced binding of both PD-L1 and PD-L2 to PD-1. In animal models, GenSci120 alleviated symptoms of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and showed an extended half-life compared to competitor antibodies[1][3][8][9][10].
