Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GenSci148 is an investigational ophthalmic biologic developed by Changchun GeneScience Pharmaceutical (GenSci) in collaboration with Matwings Technology. It is a multi-target fusion protein engineered using AI-assisted protein design to simultaneously block VEGF-A, VEGF-C, VEGF-D, and Angiopoietin-2 (Ang-2). This comprehensive inhibition of the Ang-2/Tie2 and VEGF signaling pathways is intended to suppress pathological angiogenesis, decrease vascular leakage, and enhance vascular stability. Built on GenSci's proprietary ProlonX long-acting platform, the drug is currently under clinical investigation for the treatment of neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), diabetic macular edema (DME), and retinal vein occlusion (RVO).
