Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GenSci155 is a recombinant human insulin-like growth factor-1 (rhIGF-1) being developed by Changchun GeneScience Pharmaceutical (GenSci) for the treatment of insulin-like growth factor-1 deficiency (IGFD). IGF-1 is a hormone that mediates the effects of growth hormone (GH) and is essential for normal skeletal and tissue growth. GenSci155 acts as an agonist at the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R), mimicking the action of endogenous IGF-1 to promote cell growth, differentiation, and metabolic activity. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, with studies evaluating its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy adult volunteers following intravenous administration.
