Overview

GenSciP118 (also known as GenSci118) is an inhaled small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic being developed by GeneScience Pharmaceuticals (GenSci) for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Developed using GenSci's proprietary extrahepatic lung-targeting siRNA delivery platform, GPODS™, GenSciP118 is designed to selectively silence the expression of the advanced glycosylation end product-specific receptor (RAGE) in the pulmonary epithelium. By downregulating RAGE, the drug aims to suppress RAGE-dependent inflammatory pathways, thereby reducing airway inflammation and improving lung function in patients with COPD. GenSciP118 is currently in the preclinical candidate (PCC) stage of development.
