Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Gentamicin procaine vitamin B12 granules is a fixed-dose combination pharmaceutical preparation primarily utilized in China for the treatment of various gastric conditions, including gastritis and related gastropathies. The formulation consists of three active ingredients: gentamicin sulfate, procaine hydrochloride, and vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin). Gentamicin sulfate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, providing activity against enteric pathogens including *Helicobacter pylori*. Procaine hydrochloride serves as a local anesthetic that rapidly alleviates gastric pain by blocking sodium ion conduction in nerve membranes. Vitamin B12 supports the repair and regeneration of the gastric mucosal epithelium. Together, these components provide a synergistic antibacterial, analgesic, and mucosal protective effect.
