Gentle Tears

Gentle Tears is an over-the-counter ophthalmic solution developed and manufactured by Euro-Med Laboratories Phil., Inc. It is formulated as artificial tears, typically containing hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) as the active lubricant. The solution functions by increasing the viscosity of the tear film and prolonging the tear break-up time, thereby providing a protective and lubricating layer over the corneal epithelium. It is primarily indicated for the symptomatic relief of dry eye syndrome (keratoconjunctivitis sicca) and ocular irritation caused by environmental factors such as wind, sun, or prolonged screen use.
