Gepadif

Gepadif is a hepatoprotective combination medication primarily used in the management of various liver disorders, including chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, fatty liver, and toxic liver damage. Developed by Daewon Pharmaceutical, the drug contains a synergistic blend of metabolic and nutritional components: DL-carnitine hydrochloride, antitoxic liver extract, adenosine, and B-complex vitamins (riboflavin, pyridoxine, and cyanocobalamin). Its mechanism of action is multifaceted: carnitine facilitates the transport of long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria for beta-oxidation, thereby improving lipid metabolism and reducing hepatic fat accumulation; adenosine and liver extract support cellular energy production and hepatocyte regeneration; and the B-vitamins serve as essential cofactors for enzymatic reactions involved in detoxification and metabolic pathways within the liver. Gepadif is available in both oral capsule and injectable forms.
