GERASEN 17

GERASEN 17 is a pan-senolytic small molecule developed by Flavolife, currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of kidney and liver diseases. The drug is part of a proprietary platform of senolytic agents based on a flavonoid scaffold designed to selectively target and eliminate senescent cells. Senescent cells are those that have entered a state of permanent cell-cycle arrest but remain metabolically active, contributing to chronic inflammation and tissue dysfunction through the secretion of pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic factors (the senescence-associated secretory phenotype, or SASP). By clearing these cells, GERASEN 17 aims to mitigate chronic inflammation and restore tissue function in organs affected by age-related or chronic conditions.
