Gerovital H3

**Gerovital H3** is a Romanian prescription medicinal product originally developed from Ana Aslan's procaine-based geriatric treatment concept. The currently documented Zentiva products contain **procaine hydrochloride** as the sole active pharmaceutical ingredient, including a 100 mg/5 mL intramuscular injection and 100 mg film-coated tablets. Romanian product information lists prophylaxis of age-related degenerative phenomena as its therapeutic indication. Procaine is an ester-type local anesthetic that reversibly inhibits voltage-gated sodium channels; however, the specific mechanism underlying the product's claimed geriatric benefit is not established.
