Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Gevokizumab + cabozantinib** is an investigational combination therapy combining gevokizumab, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β), with cabozantinib, a small molecule multi-tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Gevokizumab binds to and neutralizes IL-1β, mitigating pro-inflammatory pathways and potentially modulating the tumor immune microenvironment. Cabozantinib inhibits various receptor tyrosine kinases, including VEGFR-1, -2, and -3, MET, AXL, RET, KIT, FLT3, TIE2, and others, blocking tumor growth, metastasis, and angiogenesis. This combination is under early-stage clinical evaluation for solid tumors such as metastatic colorectal cancer, gastroesophageal cancer, and renal cell carcinoma, aiming to exploit synergistic anti-tumor and immunomodulatory effects[1][4][5][7].
