Overview

GF-1004 is a veterinary gene therapy candidate developed by Genflow Biosciences for the treatment of aging in dogs. It consists of an adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector suspension designed for intravenous infusion, delivering the cDNA encoding a centenarian variant of the SIRT6 gene. SIRT6 is a longevity-associated protein that regulates aging and immunity, and variants have been linked to increased lifespan in humans. The therapy aims to extend both healthspan and lifespan by improving biological age markers such as DNA methylation clocks, muscle strength, and mitochondrial function in aged canines. The ongoing proof-of-concept clinical trial involves 28 dogs over 10 years old and is managed by Syngene[3][5][6].
