Overview

GF-1005 is a gene therapy candidate developed by Genflow Biosciences in collaboration with Revatis SA and EXO Biologics for the treatment of sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss) and Werner Syndrome. The therapeutic approach involves the delivery of a proprietary centenarian variant of the SIRT6 gene (centSIRT6) into muscle-derived mesenchymal stem cells (mdMSCs) or myoblast progenitors. By restoring SIRT6 levels and mitochondrial health, GF-1005 aims to counteract age-related muscle mass and function loss. The program is currently in preclinical development and has received non-dilutive funding from the Walloon government to support its research and development milestones.
