Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GF003 is a plant-derived monoclonal antibody and a biosimilar/biobetter of trastuzumab, developed by G+FLAS Life Sciences using its proprietary Plant-Derived Biopharmaceutical (PDB) platform. The drug is produced in a plant-based expression system and optimized through CRISPR-PLUS glyco-engineering technology to enhance antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), potentially offering superior efficacy compared to traditional Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell-produced antibodies. GF003 targets the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) and is intended for the treatment of HER2-positive malignancies, including breast and gastric cancers. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
