Overview

GFM-DA is a topical cosmetic gel developed by Cantabria Labs Difa Cooper for the treatment of hair loss conditions such as androgenic alopecia and telogen effluvium. It contains a combination of biotechnologically derived oligopeptides that mimic the biological activity of endogenous growth factors, including insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), keratinocyte growth factor (KGF), fibroblast growth factor 7 (FGF-7), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). These peptides regulate the hair growth cycle and protect hair follicles from protease-mediated destruction. The formulation also includes caffeine to enhance scalp microcirculation, taurine for hair protection, and a lactoferrin-based iron-chelating complex (Trikelan) in a hyaluronic acid base. It is typically used as an adjuvant to standard pharmacological treatments like minoxidil or finasteride.
