Overview

GGH (galactomannan from guar gum hydrolysis) is a polysaccharide derived from guar gum. It shares structural similarity with DAVANAT, a known galectin-1 ligand. GGH has demonstrated antimelanoma and immunostimulatory effects, inhibiting melanoma cell invasion, increasing adhesion, and reducing colony size in vitro. It binds to galectin-1 and galectin-3, and has been shown to suppress tumor progression in mice while stimulating macrophage proinflammatory responses.
