Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GGW102 is a small molecule immune checkpoint inhibitor developed as a novel veterinary chemical drug for the treatment of feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), an often fatal, immune-mediated disease in cats caused by certain strains of feline coronavirus (FCoV). As of January 2023, there were no effective treatments for FIP worldwide. GGW102 has been classified as a Class 1.1 novel veterinary chemical drug in China and has undergone Phase I and II clinical trials demonstrating good tolerability in domestic cats. A Phase III clinical trial is ongoing to further investigate its safety and efficacy[4].
