GH peptide is an antagonistic peptide that specifically binds to the first extracellular loop of the C-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CCR5). It has been investigated in preclinical studies using a murine model of asthma, where it demonstrated a significant reduction in allergic inflammation, mucus secretion, and the expression of key inflammatory markers such as IL-23p19, IL-23R, IL-17A, and lactoferrin (LTF). Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting the CCR5-mediated IL-23/T helper 17 (Th17) signaling pathway, thereby alleviating airway inflammation. The peptide was chemically synthesized by GL Biochem Co., Ltd. and studied in the context of asthma.
