Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GH003 is a proprietary intranasal formulation of mebufotenin (5-MeO-DMT), developed by GH Research for the treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders. Mebufotenin, also known as 5-methoxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine (5-MeO-DMT), is a potent, short-acting psychedelic tryptamine that acts primarily as an agonist at serotonin receptors, particularly the 5-HT2A receptor. The intranasal route is designed to provide rapid onset and controlled delivery for potential use in subpopulations and confined scenarios within mental health indications such as major depressive disorder and treatment-resistant depression. As of mid-2024, GH003 remains in preclinical development[3][5].
