Overview

GH1581 is a novel, potent, and selective small molecule inhibitor of Werner syndrome helicase (WRN), developed by Suzhou Genhouse Bio (also referenced as Qinhao Pharmaceutical (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.). It is being investigated as an antineoplastic agent for the treatment of various cancers, particularly those characterized by microsatellite instability (MSI). Preclinical studies have demonstrated that GH1581 effectively inhibits tumor growth in xenograft models with high efficacy and minimal adverse effects on body weight. The drug exploits synthetic lethality between WRN inhibition and MSI-high cancer cells, making it a promising targeted therapy for solid tumors such as colorectal cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, and other MSI-associated malignancies[1][2][3][6].
