GHX02 is a herbal formulation containing four herbs: Trichosanthis semen (Gwaruin), Armeniacae semen (Haengin), Coptidis rhizoma (Hwangryeon), and Scutellariae radix (Hwanggeum). It has been clinically used for bronchitis at Daejeon Korean Medicine Hospital in South Korea. Preclinical studies have shown that GHX02 reduces airway inflammation, sputum production, cough, suppresses PM10D-induced inflammatory symptoms in the lung, and has anti-COPD effects. It also inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines and has antioxidant effects.
