Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GIB-7 is an investigational synbiotic therapeutic developed by GI Biome (an affiliate of GI Innovation) using its proprietary 'Microbiome+ Herbal Therapy' platform. The formulation consists of three patented probiotic strains combined with specific herbal ingredients. GIB-7 is designed to address aging-related physiological decline by modulating gut microbiome diversity, regulating circadian rhythms, and enhancing muscle strength. It is currently in Phase 2a clinical development in Australia and South Korea, where it is being evaluated both as a monotherapy and in combination with GI-102 (an intravenous IL-2-based immunotherapy) for healthy adults, elderly individuals, and cancer survivors. The program is recognized as a semi-finalist in the XPRIZE Healthspan competition.
