Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GID-201 is an autologous adipose-derived stromal vascular fraction (SVF) cell therapy developed by GID BIO for the treatment of osteoarthritis, particularly of the knee. The therapy is produced using a proprietary point-of-care system that isolates a concentrated population of regenerative cells—including mesenchymal stem cells, pericytes, and endothelial cells—from a patient's own adipose tissue. Once injected intra-articularly, these cells work through paracrine signaling to modulate the inflammatory environment, promote tissue homeostasis, and alleviate pain. It is specifically being evaluated for patients with Kellgren-Lawrence Grade II or III knee osteoarthritis to improve joint function and reduce chronic pain.
