GIFT-7 is a preclinical engineered recombinant fusokine composed of granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor and interleukin-7 domains linked within a single molecular entity. It was designed to alter signaling through GM-CSF and IL-7 receptor complexes, promote thymopoiesis and T-cell regeneration, and counter age-related immune dysfunction. In murine glioblastoma research, GIFT-7 has been delivered through genetically engineered tumor-cell vaccine approaches, where it increased dendritic-cell activation, T-cell trafficking to the brain, Th17 effector-memory responses, and long-term antitumor immunity in aged mouse models.
