GIM-0228

GIM-0228 is a long-acting, unimolecular triple agonist targeting the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), and glucagon (GCG) receptors. Developed by GIM Biotech, the peptide is engineered to provide synergistic metabolic benefits by combining the insulinotropic and appetite-suppressing effects of GLP-1 and GIP with the energy expenditure-enhancing properties of glucagon. This multi-receptor activation approach aims to achieve superior weight loss and glycemic control compared to existing mono- or dual-agonists. The drug is primarily being developed for the treatment of metabolic disorders, including obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH).
