GIM-531 is a first-in-class, orally bioavailable small molecule cancer immunotherapy developed by Georgiamune. It acts as a selective inhibitor of regulatory T cells (Tregs), sparing other immune effector cells such as CD4 and CD8 T cells. By inhibiting the induction and function of Tregs, GIM-531 reprograms the tumor microenvironment to enhance anti-tumor immunity. The drug is being developed for advanced solid tumors—including metastatic cutaneous melanoma—particularly in patients who have progressed on or are intolerant to available therapies such as anti-PD-1 antibodies. Clinical development has reached Phase 2 trials in the United States.
