Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ginkgo Leaf Dropping Pills (银杏叶滴丸) is a standardized Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product developed and marketed by Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group. Formulated as dropping pills for oral administration, the drug contains a concentrated extract of *Ginkgo biloba* leaves, standardized for active constituents such as flavonoids and terpene lactones (ginkgolides and bilobalide). It is primarily indicated for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, including ischemic stroke, as well as retinal degenerative diseases. The pharmacological action of the pills involves the inhibition of platelet-activating factor (PAF) receptors, which reduces platelet aggregation and improves blood rheology, alongside potent antioxidant effects that protect vascular endothelial cells and neurons from oxidative stress-induced damage.
