GK01 is an investigational autologous tumor-reactive T cell therapy being developed by Beijing Geek Gene Technology for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, including advanced gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, cervical cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer. The therapy involves culturing and preparing a patient's own tumor-reactive T cells (TRT), which are then reinfused into the patient to target and attack their tumors. The primary mechanism of action is believed to be immune-mediated cytotoxicity of tumor cells by these autologous T cells. Clinical studies are ongoing to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, and preliminary efficacy of this approach in patients who have failed standard treatments.
