Overview

GK02 is an autologous tumor-reactive T-cell therapy developed by Beijing Geekgene Technology Co., LTD for the treatment of malignant ascites associated with advanced solid tumors. The therapy is produced by isolating T cells from a patient's own malignant ascites fluid, which are naturally primed to recognize tumor-associated antigens within the peritoneal environment. These cells are expanded ex vivo to therapeutic quantities and then re-infused into the patient. By leveraging the natural tumor-homing and recognition capabilities of T cells found within the malignant fluid, GK02 aims to provide a targeted immune response to eliminate cancer cells and reduce the accumulation of malignant ascites, offering a potential improvement over conventional palliative treatments.
