Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GKL-006 is an autologous invariant Natural Killer T (iNKT) cell therapy being developed by Beijing Gene Key Life Technology. iNKT cells are a unique subset of T cells that express a semi-invariant T-cell receptor (TCR) and possess characteristics of both the innate and adaptive immune systems. Upon activation, they rapidly produce large quantities of cytokines, bridging innate and adaptive immunity to promote anti-tumor responses. GKL-006 is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in combination with transarterial chemoembolization (TACE). The therapy aims to enhance the immune environment within the tumor to improve clinical outcomes in patients with advanced liver cancer.
