GLA-60

GLA-60 is a synthetic monosaccharide lipid A analogue, specifically 2-deoxy-4-O-phosphono-2-[(3R)-3-hydroxytetradecanamido]-3-O-[(3R)-3-tetradecanoyloxytetradecanoyl]-D-glucose. It functions as an immunomodulator, exhibiting many endotoxin-like activities but with low toxicity. GLA-60 has been investigated for its ability to stimulate various immune responses, including the production of cytokines like TNF-alpha, IL-1, IL-6, and nitric oxide, as well as activating natural killer cells and macrophages. Studies have explored its potential in protecting against viral and bacterial infections, inhibiting tumor metastasis and angiogenesis, and inducing tolerance to LPS lethality.
