Overview

**Glandosane** is a locally acting synthetic saliva substitute supplied as an oral spray for symptomatic management of xerostomia. Its carmellose sodium-based, electrolyte-containing formulation is designed to approximate the physical and chemical properties of natural saliva and to moisten the oral and pharyngeal mucosa. It is used for dry mouth of varied causes, including xerostomia associated with head-and-neck radiotherapy.
