Overview
GLB-001 is an orally bioavailable molecular glue degrader that targets casein kinase 1 alpha (CK1α). By binding to CK1α and E3 ubiquitin ligase, it forms a ternary complex that leads to the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of CK1α. This targeted protein degradation approach is designed to eliminate disease-driving proteins not amenable to traditional therapies. The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), particularly in relapsed or refractory cases. It is currently in phase 1 clinical trials[1][2][3][5][6][8].
